BIRMAN BLOGGER?! NO GRAZIE

Secondo un’indagine prodotta dall’organizzazione americana Committee to Protect Journalists, in occasione della “Giornata mondiale per la libertà di informazione” sono stati individuati i 10 Paesi dove non è consentito dissentire dal governo e quello peggiore per fare il blogger oggi è risultato essere la Birmania dove l’anno scorso il comico, regista e attivista Maung Thura è stato condannato a 59 anni di carcere per aver messo in cattiva luce la giunta militare diffondendo sul web immagini video della distruzione causata dal ciclone Nargis e dove l’accesso a Internet fu bloccato nel 2007 quando fu usato per diffondere informazioni sulla rivolta contro il regime. Oltre alla Birmania, a fare compagnia a questo primano non certo invidiabile, ci sono Iran, Siria, Arabia Saudita, Vietnam, Tunisia e Cina.
Inutile ricordare che, là dove è presente una forte asimmetria informativa, chi detiene l’informazione, detiene anche la conoscenza e di riflesso il controllo.
